Type: Botanic garden Price: $8 per vehicle April-November. Special events may have additional entrance fees. Description:

Situated on 690 acres along the Connetquot River, the arboretum also operates an expanded organic CSA farm. Chicken and duck pens. Five nature walks (pinetum, wildflower, rhododendron, bird-watching, swamp cypress, assorted trees).  Private and public tours available. Hidden Oak Cafe (631-277-3895) and Manor House overlook the great lawn to the river. Self Guided cell-phone tour. New and improved garden areas and walks, plus workshops and other events.

 

Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov.-Apr., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Apr.-Oct., closed Mondays. Season: All year
