The Powerball jackpot is up to $400 million and may go higher by Wednesday night's drawing, according to the New York State Gaming Commission.

Saturday night's drawing yielded nine $1 million winners, including one right here in NYC, from the Khandaker Newsstand at 50 Fulton St.

Kessel's hat trick lifts U.S. men to hockey quarters

Phil Kessel took a minute to open the scoring and went on to record a natural hat-trick as the United States beat Slovenia, 5-1, on Sunday to secure a bye into the quarterfinals of the men's ice hockey tournament at the Sochi Games.

Kessel opened the scoring 63 seconds into the game when he sped into the Slovenian zone and used a nifty deke to beat the defenseman before sliding it home.

'Lego Movie' tops weekend box office



 "The Lego Movie" collected $48.8 million to top box office charts for a second week, finishing far ahead of romantic comedy "About Last Night" which had ticket sales of $27 million over the Valentine's Day weekend.

"RoboCop," a remake of the 1987 science fiction film about a part-man, part-cyborg crime fighter, was third with sales of $21.5 million, according to studio reports.

MTA testing new digital touchscreens at Grand Central Terminal

Subway riders at Grand Central Terminal will help determine whether the new digital touch screen information kiosks become a feature throughout the system.

After an initial five-machine, five-station pilot in 2011, the MTA partnered with two companies -- Control Group and CBS Outdoor -- to create digital information touchscreens for the expansion of the agency's On The Go digital kiosk program.
