Where to hear rock music

On Long Island, many nights out involve DJs spinning dance and hip-hop music. If you're craving the sounds of wailing guitars (and other instruments), there are plenty of places that still stage live shows starring local (and regional) bands, while other spots offer DJ nights focusing on rock tunes.
