Situated in a Victorian-style former train depot that was Wantagh's station (1885-1966), with history displays and a ticket booth. A 1912 Long Island Rail Road parlor car (the Jamaica) sits alongside. Restoring Wantagh's first post office (1907) on site. Listed on state National Register of Historic Places. Spring and Fall garage sale, children's puppet show in August. Society meets 8 p.m. the fourth Tue. of month (except June, July and August) at Wantagh Library.

Hours: 2-4 p.m. Sun., April-October; tours by appointment
