Type: Museum, Children's, Kids Price: $12 adults and children, $11 seniors, free children younger than 1; (additional fees for theater and special programming may apply) Party packages start at $325 for weekday parties (Wed. - Fri.) and $375 for weekend parties (Sat.-Sun.) for up to 12 children. Additional cost per additional child. LICM parties can accommodate up to 40 (children and adult) guests. You can bring your own refreshments or purchase a food package. The first and largest museum for kids on the Island - the other is the Children's Museum of the East End - LICM is a hands-on play and learning center designed to stimulate a child's natural curiosity. It also offers concerts, theater and themed workshops that give kids something to take home. Party themes use the museum's popular exhibits and program features.

Our Backyard, an outdoor classroom, is a garden exhibit geared for kids to explore nature. They can discover how to tell time by the sun, measure rainfall, learn about herbs and make bird feeders or sun catchers. A water play area, a giant tire and sand area is also included.

Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily July and August;; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tue.-Sun. and most school holidays September-June; open to groups by appointment. Our Backyard: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily May through October, weather permitting.
