The Museum is located on 18.5 acres of Heckscher Park. The Museum mounts four special exhibitions and four permanent collection exhibitions plus the annual "Long Island's Best" - a juried exhibition featuring the works of high school students.  Throughout the year, the Museum conducts exhibition-related programs ranging from book group and writer's workshop series, to artist's talks and workshops, to free first Friday extended viewing hours and musical performances. The museum maintains a permanent collection of more than 2,200 works including paintings, sculpture, works on paper, and photography spanning five centuries from the early 16th to present.

Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wed.-Fri., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat.-Sun. Call for information about "First Fridays."
