Holiday shoppers still on the hunt for jewelry may find it at Fortunoff -- yeah, we said Fortunoff -- starting Friday and going through Sunday. Esther Fortunoff-Green, a descendant of Max and Clara Fortunoff, who founded the iconic brand in 1922 as a pots and pans store in Brooklyn, has – just in the St. Nick of time -- opened a pop-up shop in the Cotillion Room of the Garden City Hotel.

“At this time of year, so many former customers and friends reach out to me to tell me how much they miss our store,” says Fortunoff-Greene. “They tell me their holiday trip to Fortunoff was a family tradition.” She’s referring, of course to the sprawling flagship Fortunoff in Westbury, dubbed “The Source,” that opened in 1964 and shuttered in 2009, where you could find everything from china to crystal to outdoor furniture, though jewelry was a specialty of the house.

To that end, she’ll be offering hundreds of baubles ranging from $50  to $2,000, including sparklers for babies and tweens, along with more precious stuff such as diamond, pearl and gemstone jewelry and some fashion pieces.

In addition, custom pieces from Fortunoff-Green’s Designing Hope, contest, which aims to evoke a spirit of hope for victims of domestic violence, will be available for sale at the pop-up location and online, with proceeds from the sale going to benefit The Safe Center LI and the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

The pop-up opens Friday at 11 a.m. and closes Sunday at 6 p.m. The Garden City Hotel is 45 Seventh St. in Garden City, and valet and self-parking is available. You can check out further details on hours of the sale at fortunoffjewelry.com, an e-commerce site opened by Fortunoff-Greene in 2010.
