Target announces line inspired by upcoming 'Annie' remake
Target's designer collections have always taken inspiration from the runway, but its newest collab is set to pull from the big screen.
The retailer has announced it is partnering with Renee Ehrlich Kalfus, the costume designer for Jay Z and Will Smith's upcoming "Annie" remake, to create a collection of girl's apparel and accessories.
The line features fun mix-and-match pieces inspired by the anticipated musical reboot starring Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne and Cameron Diaz.
It will also include Annie's signature heart-shaped locket, and a modern re-creation of her staple red dress, which Kalfus calls her favorite.
"Designing a contemporary version of this fabulous party dress was a real highlight, and I’m thrilled I was able to re-create a nearly identical version for Target," she said.
The collection hits stores Nov. 16 and all items are priced under $30 -- which is certainly something to sing about.
