'Snow Queen' sculpture wins at Lord & Taylor in Garden City
The ethereal Snow Queen has played its part in fairy tales for hundreds of years. Now, she's revived in a new form: Shisheido facial cotton squares.
The visual teams at Garden City's Lord and Taylor created a "Snow Queen" built around the internationally-known hair care and cosmetics company's cotton squares -- one of the best selling facial cottons on the market.
They won first prize "exhibiting amazing creativity."
The hands of Paula Fastuca, Katie Marotta and Edward Rawa spent 96 hours constructing this 2,640 piece sculpture. Half a gallon of white glue and two pounds of glitter helped add to its complete look.
