    Bostwick's Chowder House $$ | Seafood, Raw bar 277 Pantigo Rd. East Hampton This informal roadside spot draws a star-studded crowd for good, classic, unreconstructed seafood: raw bar, chowders, steamers, lobsters, fried Ipswich clams and one of the Island's best lobster rolls.

    Inlet Seafood on East Lake Drive in Montauk

    Inlet Seafood $$$ | Seafood, Sushi 541 E. Lake Dr. Montauk At Inlet Seafood, vast expanses of window afford a vista of narrow waterways and open sea. The restaurant's six owners are fishermen and executive chef John Yashinowsky does their wares proud with his light hand. Excellent sushi too.

    The Jolly Fisherman & Steak House $$$ | Seafood 25 Main St. Roslyn The Jolly Fisherman has been serving up seafood since 1957, and little has changed since then. All the basics are well executed, and this is the rare menu that features fried Ipswich (i.e. belly) clams.

The decor is classic oyster bar, and the dining deck, overlooking Manhasset Bay, boasts one of L.I.'s loveliest views.
