With a long dining room stretching off West Main Street in Riverhead, Hy Ting is an attractive restaurant with dark booths, wainscotting, plants and Asian accents. The menu is enormous, with almost every Chinese dish you can imagine. The lunch special is just $4.95 for an entree, soup and fried, white or brown rice. The special house dinner, at $21.95 per person, comes with a choice of house special or hot and sour soup, a pu-pu platter, choice of chef's suggestions, an extensive selection that runs from butterfly shrimp to lobster with ginger to Peking Duck, and a dessert. The restaurant has a full bar.
