Critic rating:
The atmosphere of this cozy, classy restaurant goes beyond any attempt to emulate an Italian restaurant, as the bunting-styled drapery, lightly yellow-tinged walls and oil paintings make this place seem as if stolen from a weathered postcard circa the early 1900s. But beyond the décor, the menu is in fact dedicated to the foods found in places like Napoli, Rome and Sicily—with a number of seafood-based antipasi set for starting purposes. Pastas like spaghetti, cavatelli, ravioli and tortelloni are also possibilities—while the entrées are a list of meats and fish prepared with flair—such as a dry-aged, grilled rib eye steak under green peppercorn, stuffed organic breast of chicken and red snapper served oreganata (in bread crumbs).
