Spreading across Long Island with lightning frequency, this burger chain seems to be opening new stores on a monthly basis, if not quicker. This location—as do all the locations—offer simple seating but see much more in the way of takeout business. Order a burger or hot dog and the cashier will yell back to the rest of the kitchen how many patties and/ or frankfurters will be necessary for every sale—both of which can be sided by fries. A burger (actually a double) comes with any number and combination of free toppings: mayo, relish, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, jalapeños, green peppers, A-1 sauce, barbecue sauce, hot sauce. Cheese and bacon cost extra. Though cooked well done, burgers are juicy, crusty and flavorful. Recommended combo: bacon and barbecue sauce.
The first-rate Hebrew National hot dog is split before being grilled, making for extra bronzed and crusted surfaces; underneath, it's all spicy juiciness. Sybarites can get a bacon cheese dog. $2.89 to $4.09>
