Nisen closing in Woodbury; expanding in Suffolk

Tomorrow will be the last night for Nisen in Woodbury. The lounge-y sushi spot, which also served a contemporary Japanese-New American menu, opened in 2007. In 2008, it headed the list of Newsday's sushi restaurants.

It’s been months since the Seacrest Diner closed at the intersection of Glen Cove Road and Jericho Turnpike. Shortly thereafter the building was taken down almost to its studs and entirely rebuilt. Last week it opened, christened Old Westbury Diner.
