Trata, the high-end Greek seafood restaurant, reopens in Water Mill tonight with two new chefs in the kitchen.

Following an extensive post-Sandy renovation, the former Hudson & McCoy in Freeport is to open this Thursday, May 23, with new owners and a new name. Now known as Hudsons on the Mile, the seafood-focused restaurant is owned by Butch Yamali, whose holdings also include Maliblue Oyster Bar in Lido Beach, as well as several catering properties.

Located in the heart of downtown Lynbrook is the new Village Square, which makes its home in the cavernous space that, most recently, housed JMags Downtown Grill and, before that, Broadway Beanery. Jedediah Hawkins Inn, the handsome Italianate star in Jamesport, goes casual on Sunday with a holiday weekend pig roast.
The cost for the outdoor event is $65 for adults; $25 for children. The restaurant's new executive chef, Lia Fallon, said that in addition to the pig roast, there would be a raw bar, plus a hot dog cart for children. Beer and sangria are included for adults.
