Weekend picks: Easter specials
Restaurants in Nassau and Suffolk are offering many Easter Sunday specials, including breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Here are four choices.
The Woodlands, in a turn-of-the-century mansion at the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course in Woodbury, plans brunch and dinner buffets. Brunch is $44 per adult; for children 3 to 12 years old, $20. The brunch includes seafood, pasta and carving stations, as well as breakfast items. The dinner buffet is $46 per adult, $20 for children. La Pace with Chef Michael offers a la carte Easter Sunday dinner. Appetizers range from $11 to $14; main dishes, $27 to $39.50. The main courses include braised lamb shank, baked smoked Virginia ham, miso-marinated tuna and the house's "Sunday dinner," with chicken Parmigiana, sausages, meatballs and spaghettini. View in Oakdale has an a la carte holiday dinner menu, featuring openers in the $7 to $16 range; main courses, $24 to $46. Library Cafe in Farmingdale features a brunch buffet. It's $17.95 for adults; $10.95 for children. Waiter service is provided. The menu highlights such dishes as eggs Benedict, French toast, buttermilk pancakes and mini-pastries. Unlimited mimosas, sparkling wine, soda, coffee and juice included. Regular menu also available.
