Vegan pop-up at Huntington Station market
Only four more weeks for the indoor G&G Huntington winter farmers market. This Sunday, Heirloom Vegan Eatery from Williamsburg, Brooklyn will be serving a selection of their entirely meat-free specialties, among them vegan gyros and souvlaki, pulled “pork” sandwiches, kale chips and Tater Tots. Sandwiches are $8, sides are $3, combos for $10.
Also on the docket: Imperial Empanadas, a maple syrup demonstration and sampling, and vendors including Ronnybrook Farm milk and Ridgewood Pork Store.
The market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Jack Abrams School, 155 Lowndes Ave., Huntington Station. For more information, go to winterfarmersmarketlongisland.com.
