Since superstorm Sandy plowed into the Rockaways, Long Island restaurants such as Honu in Huntington and Mim's in Roslyn Heights, have been contributing food to residents with limited access to hot meals. Dana Finkelstein, Roslyn resident and restaurant veteran, has been organizing this effort for the last three weeks, soliciting restaurants and driving the food down to the Rockaways. On Thanksgiving she is determined to feed as many people as possible, and she needs help.

Restaurants and caterers: Please contact Finkelstein at 516-510-4997 if you can contribute trays of food, transportation, mobile cooking equipment or anything else.
