The Main Event to open in Farmingdale
Opening soon in the vacated former digs of Kodiak’s on Rte. 110 in Farmingdale will be a new branch of The Main Event in Plainview, defined by co-owner Alex Constantatos as “a family restaurant with a sports theme.”
In addition to plenty of TV screens, the place will feature a menu similar to the one in Plainview. Constantatos said that since his family is in the wholesale seafood business, fresh seafood will be emphasized.
A glance at the Plainview menu reveals such items as baked jumbo lump crabcakes ($13), Buffalo wings ($9.95 for 12), beer-battered cod ($19.95), a chicken souvlaki platter ($15), a half pound cheeseburger ($8.50) and a house-made salmon burger ($13).
An early May opening is planned.
The Main Event will be at 1815 Broad Hollow Rd., Farmingdale.
