Taste of Long Island 2013: Benefit on Jan. 28
The Carltun in East Meadow will host this year’s annual Taste of Long Island, a fundraiser to benefit the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Coalition Against Child Abuse & Neglect.
More than 40 restaurants, wineries, bakeries and purveyors will be sampling their wares, including The Brass Rail in Locust Valley, Jonathan’s in Garden City Park, L.L. Dent in Carle Place, Mitch & Toni’s in Albertson, R.S. Jones in Merrick, A Taste of Home in North Bellmore, Taste in Syosset and Iavarone Bros. Among this year’s new participants are CaraCara Mexican Grill in Farmingdale, Rialto in Westbury and Vintage in New Hyde Park.
Tickets are $100 for general admission and $150 per person for reserved seating, available to the first 100 people responding. The event starts at 6:30 at The Carltun, Eisenhower Park, 1899 Hempstead Tpke., East Meadow.
