Midway through this nor'easter slopfest, my mind is going south. So, my appetite might as well join in. After all, how much more footage of snow plows can you take?
Here are three ways to get around the forecast.
Perfecto Mundo in Commack should reel you in with roasted corn-and-lobster chowder, the coriander-crusted pork tenderloin with spicy coconut broth, and the seafood paella.
Paella also is an attraction at Cafe Buenos Aires in Huntington. The Valenciana includes seafood, pork and chorizo sausage. You'll also enjoy sharing the crackling mixed grill of sausages, short ribs and steak. Churros and flan for dessert.
Sweet Plantains in Rockville Centre brings in Dominican fare. Maybe shredded beef or pork empanadas, fried pork chops, rotisserie chicken. Of course, sweet plantains, too.
The only salt spreader I want to hear about is next to the pepper mill.
