Ocean opens on Sound in Bayville
Ocean, which looks onto Long Island Sound, is the new restaurant at the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville. It succeeds the Pine Island Grill.
The eclectic menu includes appetizers such as lobster sliders, beet-and-goat cheese napoleon, and shellfish cocktails. The main dishes take in broiled, boiled or stuffed lobster; chile-rubbed scallops; ginger-glazed salmon; steaks and a "summer clambake" for two or four. There's also a sushi menu, "sunset lounge" menu and a Sunday brunch menu.
Ocean is open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday; lunch, noon to 3 p.m., Monday to Saturday; and for brunch on Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dinner main courses range from $21 to $39; the clambake is $75 for two. Lobsters are market price. Lunch dishes are $11 to $21.
