Namaste America: Indian buffet comes to Deer Park
Namaste America, new to Deer Park, is driven by the concept of Indian buffet. Owner Andy Advani adds that diners who prefer can also order off the a la carte menu.
Some dishes you’re likely to find on the table are makhani chicken (also known as butter chicken), methi chicken, which is cooked with fenugreek leaves, tandoori chicken, soy bean korma and, at the more wide-ranging dinner buffet, goat masala.
Although plain nan is served warm at every table and included in the cost of the meal, the restaurant’s specialty is actually garlic nan ($3) from the menu. Other dishes you can order include chicken tikka masala ($9.99) and vegetable biryani ($7.99).
Lunch, at $9.99 is served Monday to Thursday; on Friday to Sunday, it goes for $10.99. The dinner buffet is priced at $13.99 Monday to Thursday and on Friday and Saturday costs $14.99.
