Mattituck farmers market debuts Friday
Friday is the launch of the Mattituck farmers market, at 95 Love Lane, in the backyard of Mattituck Florist. It is slated to run every Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
The market is organized by Maryann and Eugene Krupski, proprietors of Mattituck’s Mar-Gene Farms. As soon as their certified organic produce starts poking out of the soil, it will be available for sale.
For the first few weeks, the market will offer a range of local foods such as Catapano goat cheese, Really Good fruit spreads, Donna’s Treatery dog treats, organic herbs and seedlings from Garden Fusion, confections from Jeannie’s Treats, handmade beauty products from Scent Sense, preserves and more from Taste of the North Fork, including the wondrous, versatile, Morrocco-meets-East-Marion spread, cHarissa.
FMNP (Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program) checks are accepted.
Mattituck Town Supervisor Scott Russell will preside over a ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m.
