In this week’s Newsday, Joan Reminick reviews Sake Asian, in the former West Babylon digs of Singha Thai. The renovated restaurant, she writes, boasts a stylish decor, large sushi bar, comfortable booths, hospitable servers, affordable prices. Bear in mind, though, that in navigating “a menu that reaches all over the map . . . the forte is Chinese, with Japanese coming in second and Thai trailing behind.“

Peruse a gallery of Long Island’s best lobster rolls — 14 of them — from Montauk to East Rockaway.

And check out our list of Long Island’s 100 best restaurants. Peter Gianotti and Joan Reminick have selected 10 restaurants in each of 10 categories: seafood, Asian, Asian-fusion, New American, Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, Italian, international, steak, sushi and cheap eats.
