In this week’s Newsday, Peter M. Gianotti reviews Sur Argentinian Steakhouse, which takes over the Huntington Village spot long occupied by Canterbury Ales. Sur is the “generous, easygoing offspring of Tango Argentinian Steakhouse, the 16-year staple in Central Islip." Some of its popular dishes are available here, including sliced chorizo sausage with caramelized Spanish onions and rosemary and a mixed grill for two with, with short ribs, skirt steak, shell steak, blood sausage, sweet sausage and sweetbreads “will test your capacity.”

Joan Reminick visits Pico Tequila Grill, a good-looking new Cal-Mex eatery on West Main Street in Bay Shore. “Raise a glass to the spicy cilantro margarita made with jalapeño tequila. It hits all the right notes,” she writes, though the food “doesn't always achieve that kind of harmony, despite the high quality of ingredients.”
