Lia Fallon, who earned stellar reviews for her cooking at Amarelle in Wading River, is the new chef at the Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport.

Fallon, who was owner as well as executive chef at Amarelle, closed the creative, New American restaurant earlier this year. In September, she was seriously injured in an automobile accident.

In addition to her work at Amarelle, Fallon has been praised for her fare during a stint at Bistro 72 in Riverhead's Indigo Hotel.

Jedediah Hawkins Inn is a local landmark. It was built in 1863 as a residence. The Italianate building was restored and opened as an inn and restaurant in 2006.
