Jedediah Hawkins Inn, the Jamesport landmark, is closed until March 15.

A recorded message at the inn cited the closing is for "repairs," but gave no details.

Earlier today, the Inn tweeted "We are closed until March 15. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope to see you then."

The restaurant at the Inn used to be named Luce & Hawkins. Former chef Keith Luce, who earned it three-and-one half stars and top fine-dining spot of 2010 in Newsday, left in autumn.

What's now the inn started as a residence in 1863, an Italianate building complete with belvedere. After an extensive restoration, it opened as a restaurant and inn in 2006.
