Hibachi and sushi come to Lake Grove
Flying vegetables and clanging knives are part of the draw at K60 Japanese Steak House, which makes its home in the Lake Grove strip mall space that once housed Curry Club.
Here, you can opt to sit at one of eight communal tables in a hibachi room as you watch chefs demonstrate their showmanship with filet mignon ($22.95), scallops ($19.95) and chicken ($16.95), to name a few choices.
Or, you can eat in the regular dining room where the sushi bar sends forth such items as yellowtail jalapeño ($10.95), chirashi ($18.95) and a decoratively plated tuna lover roll ($12.95). A roster of fusion items includes Thai crispy red snapper ($21) and chicken with mango sauce ($15). Traditionalists can go for chicken teriyaki ($15.95) or shrimp and vegetable tempura ($16.95).
K60 Japanese Steak House is at 2811 Middle Country Rd., Lake Grove, 631-585-1273, k60steakhouse.com.
