East Hampton: Celebrity weekend sightings
A variety of celebrities grabbed a bite to eat at some of East Hampton’s restaurants this past weekend.
Healthy eatery Babette’s (66 Newton Lane, East Hampton, 631-329-5377) was pouring with celebrities. Jay-Z and Beyonce, All My Children legend Susan Lucci, and hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons were among the celebrities there, according to Barbara Layton, Babette’s owner.
Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts dined on the outside patio of Bostwick’s Chowder House (277 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, 631-324-1111, bostwickschowderhouse.com) on Friday night with their two children. They shared an appetizer of crab cake and fried oysters before mains of shrimp scampi and steamed lobster.
Kelly Kiloren Bensimon, naughty girl of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York, chowed down Saturday night on ribs and BBQ chicken at Turtle Crossing (221 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, 631-324-7166, turtlecrossing.com).
Nora Ephron and writer-husband Nick Pileggi joined Allen and Deborah Grubman at Nick & Toni’s (136 North Main St., East Hampton, 631-324-3550) on Saturday night.
On Wednesday, Nick & Toni’s hosted sports analyst and former New York Mets player Keith Hernandez. The next night, English actor Terence Stamp stopped by.
