While you may have trouble finding a convenient place to park in downtown Rockville Centre, you’ll find no shortage of worthy places to eat. Here are five restaurant options in this Nassau dining nexus.

KASHI SUSHI & STEAK HOUSE
222 Sunrise Hwy., Rockville Centre, 516-442-7600, kashijapanese.com
This Nassau offspring of the Huntington original offers hibachi cooking, pyrotechnics and all. But the real allure is in dishes such as blue-crab fajita, roasted duck with lime, mint and hoisin reduction, Kobe beef meatballs, tuna tartare with sun-dried tomatoes and jalapeños. Plus sushi rolls, both familiar and fancy. $$-$$$

APERITIF
242 Sunrise Hwy., Rockville Centre, 516-594-3404, aperitifbistro.com
With the properly Parisian looks of a French bistro, this downtown spot has food worthy of attention, too. Recommendations include hanger steak au poivre, filet mignon sliders, coq au vin with mashed potatoes, seared duck breast with pear-and-cranberry chutney and braised lamb shanks. Finish with crème brûlée or apple tarte Tatin. $$-$$$

PRESS 195
22 N. Park Ave., Rockville Centre, 516-536-1950, press195.com
Well-crafted sandwiches plus a well-chosen roster of brews and wines are the draws at this attractive spot. Among the multitude of fine sandwiches, the standout is a potato knish that’s split and stuffed with pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and roasted red pepper dressing before being grill-pressed. House-made Belgian fries are irresistible. $$

CHAT NOIR
230 Merrick Rd., Rockville Centre, 516-208-8521, chatnoirtea.com
Not to be missed at this elegant tea room is pastry chef-owner Emma Tso's crisp, custardy orange French toast. Her quiches and crepes excel. Superior tea sandwiches are included on the tiered tea service that also holds scones and miniature cream-filled pastries. At dinner, there’s French onion soup, Thai mussels and black-tea-marinated skirt steak. And Tso’s delicate pastries. $$

GEORGE MARTIN THE ORIGINAL
65 N. Park Ave., Rockville Centre; 516-678-7272, georgemartintheoriginal.com
“The Original” and mother ship of the George Martin Restaurant Group has been feeding diners very well near the Rockville Centre station since 1989. Menu highlights include short-rib tacos, a baby arugula and romaine salad, filet-mignon sliders, roasted chicken, the sirloin burger and Asian five spice seared tuna loin. Conclude with the classic George Martin brownie sundae or cranberry walnut bread pudding. $$-$$$
