Cutchogue: "Farm to table" dinner @ Bedell Cellars
Bedell Cellars, one of the East End's top wineries, hosts a dinner devoted to local produce, seafood and wine on Aug. 13.
Joining Bedell are Satur Farms, the Catapano Dairy Farm and the NoFo Oyster Bar. The evening will include live jazz from the Paul Effman trio. Cost: $150 per person, $125 for Bedell wine club members. The menu includes a summer salad of beets, goat cheese and mixed greens; pan-roasted local striped bass with braised fennel, eggplant, red peppers and caper berries; roasted Crescent Farms duck breast with wild rice salad and grilled Davis Farm peaches; and a mixed berry cobbler. The wines to be served: Bedell's 2007 First Crush Red and First Crush White; and the 2008 Corey Creek Domaines CC Rose.
