Chinese New Year at Monsoon in Babylon
The Chinese Year of the Horse gallops into Monsoon this weekend.
On Friday, Jan. 31, the restaurant will offer a $45 fixed-price dinner, along with Perrier-Jouet Champagne at $50 per bottle. There will be a traditional lion dance performance at 9:30 p.m., followed by DJ music and dancing, and a midnight toast.
On Saturday, Feb. 1, the lion dance will start at 9:30 p.m. and the restaurant's regular a la carte dinner menu will be available.
Monsoon was named best new restaurant of 2012 in Newsday. Specialties include Beijing duck, kung pao monkfish, dumplings, and sushi.
