Cheeburger Cheeburger in Plainview has closed. It was the first branch of the '50s-themed franchise to open on Long Island and was located in the same strip mall as Fairway Market. Trademark items: imaginatively topped burgers, hand-cut fries and milkshakes in a wild array of flavors.
There are currently two other Long Island Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurants, at 46 Great Neck Rd., Great Neck, 516-829-2433 and 228 Airport Plaza Blvd., Farmingdale, 631-393-6150.
