Athens Grill benefit in Riverhead
Riverhead is once again coming together to support John Mantzopoulos, whose Main Street restaurant, Athens Grill, was destroyed in a fire on June 28. A week after the fire, Dennis McDermott hosted a benefit barbecue at his nearby restaurant, the Riverhead Project. And on Saturday, July 27, the Suffolk Theater — just across the street from the shuttered eatery — will hold another fundraiser with Mantzopoulos as guest chef in the theater's kitchen.
“Yasou on Main Street” will also feature live performances by the bands Craving Strange and Who Are Those Guys. Click here for more information on the event.
Admission is a donation of $20 (or more), and all proceeds will benefit Athens Grill. Tickets are available in advance at the Suffolk Theater box office or at the door the night of the show.
Suffolk County Theater is at 118 E Main St., Riverhead, 631-727-4343, suffolktheater.com
