VIADUCT ROLL at Kotobuki (1530 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn, 516-621-5312): Five years into the interminable six-year-long reconstruction of the viaduct that carries Northern Boulevard over Hempstead Harbor, Kotobuki, which sits in its shadow, came up with this tribute roll: Your choice of seared salmon or peppered tuna wrapped around crab or lobster salad, served on a sweet chili sauce. (They serve the roll at Kotobuki locations in Hauppauge and Babylon, but to a largely unknowing clientele.) $10. (Aug 1, 2013)(Credit: Nicole Horton)

Crazy sushi rolls on Long Island

They taste good, too. --PETER M. GIANOTTI/peter.gianotti@newsday.com and JOAN REMINICK/joan.reminick@newsday.com
