Neon lights and pink walls set the scene at this retro 1950s hamburger joint. Wednesdays bring family fun night--with a balloon artist entertaining the kids. Burger scene: Wear your best poodle skirt to this retro burgery, a full-service restaurant whose motto is "invent your own taste."Burger bites: You can only get a well-done burger here, and it's more dense than juicy. But a turkey burger on grilled rye turns out to be a surprise winner. Toppings include everything from pineapple to peanut butter to provolone. Hand-cut fries are quite good. Note that the truly gluttonous (and/or insane) can opt for the 20-ounce Pounder, which, if finished, earns the eater a place on the "wall of fame."Burger bil: $5.49 (for the 5.5-ounce classic) to $11.99 (for the pounder); cheese and specialty toppings, such as bacon and grilled portobello, an extra 50 cents to $1.99.
