"We have people who come year after year just for the fun of picking apples," says Jennifer Dupree, who runs the family farm, along with her sister Amy Halsey. "There are plenty of our customers who appreciate a traditional apple-picking experience where the apples are the star." Don't forget to stop by the orchard farm stand for fresh-baked goods such as apple muffins, cider doughnuts, preservative-free dried apple slices and fresh-pressed cider. For a more adult treat, stop by the Milk Pail Fresh Market on Montauk Highway for dry cider ($4) and Gold Rush apple wine ($16, ID required for both). In business 45 years, this orchard has a view of both Mecox Bay and the ocean. Its semi-dwarf trees are clearly marked and staff members are stationed in the orchard for assistance. This local favorite also has U-pick pumpkins and gourds
