Indoor golf on Long Island

Here's a hypothetical but highly believable conversation:
"See ya later, Honey, I'm going to play golf."
"What do you mean you're playing golf? There's 6 inches of snow on the ground."
"OK, bye, Honey. I'll be home in a few hours."
Indeed, when your breath is more readily visible than your drive into the rough, perhaps it's time to put the golf bag and shoes in the basement and call it a season. But, just as in every other facet of life, new technology challenges old paradigms.
Full Swing Golf is a realistic indoor golf simulator that allows golfers to maintain their games during the winter months. Players hit the ball into a screen and the computer technology, adapted from the military, tracks the flight of the ball, the speed at impact and everything else involved in the sport of golf. If you slice it in the real world, you'll slice it here, too.
Beyond the ability to play 18 holes in any weather at more than 50 of the most famous courses in the world, simulators feature a driving range, putting green and pitching area with feedback you won't get anywhere else. Two drives may look the same at a driving range, but the simulator tracks the angle of flight, the degree of straightness (or lack thereof), distance the ball carried and distance the ball rolled. That is instant knowledge.
