You'll see llamas, sheep, pigs, rabbits, cows and other farm animals. Visitors are encouraged to pet the livestock - feed is available for $2 per bag. Staffers run educational events for kids and weeklong camps. Since this is a working farm, expect a little mud and dirt.

The explore classroom features an interactive nature art area, an herb garden, a stage with barrel drums, "wrench-o-phone," and gourd maracas, plus a slide and climbing hill.

Summer camp info: Fees: Call for rates. Specialties: Camps Explorer (kindergarten), Pioneer (grade 1 and 2), Trailblazer (grade 3 and 4) and Navigator (grade 5 and 6). Specialty Camp for high school students (grades 10-12) and Dog Days camp for Grades 5-8; Grades K-9 will take part in hands on activities in animal science, agriculture, and environmental science lead by trained educators. New this year: CIT program, Notes: Before and After care available from 7 a.m.–6 p.m., Open house: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 3.

Hours: 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. daily, year-round; winter months some animals are not accessible
