Looking for things to do with the kids this weekend? From a spring hatching and a sensory hike to Snow White, rain forests and more, you can find plenty of activities happening on Long Island. Here are my top five picks for family-friendly activities this weekend:

Sensory hike at the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge (340 Smith Rd., Shirley) on Saturday, March 22, 1-2 p.m. Families and children 6 and older can take a guided 1-mile hike and tour of your senses on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. Price: Free.

Spring hatching at Long Island Science Center (11 W. Main St., Riverhead). On Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., see chicks and learn about other animals born in the spring. Price: $5.

Constructing with crystals at the Maritime Explorium (101 E. Broadway, Port Jefferson). Kids will learn to build their own ice house using sugar cubes on Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Price: $5.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" at BroadHollow Theatre Company (700 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont). Join Snow White and her seven friends in this live performance on Sunday at noon. Price: $12, $10 (in advance).

"Rainbow Almond Tree: A Celebration of the Tropical Rain Forests" at Sweetbriar Nature Center (62 Eckernkamp Dr., Smithtown). Join Sweetbriar naturalist, educator and writer Eric Young as he reads his story "The Rainbow Almond Tree" on Saturday from 1-2:30 p.m. Price: $6.
