Looking for things to do with the kids this weekend? From fireworks and crafts to "Peter Pan" and more, there is plenty happening on Long Island. Here are my top five picks for family-friendly activities this weekend:

"Peter Pan The Musical" at Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts (2 E. Main St., Smithtown) Follow a mischievous boy who can fly and spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Price: $30 adults, $20 children.

TD Bank Celebrate America Fireworks and Show at Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater of Eisenhower Park (Hempstead Turnpike and Merrick Avenue, East Meadow) On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., celebrate Independence Day early with a Grucci fireworks display and concert. Gates open at 5 p.m.; bring a dinner picnic along with seating. Price: Free tickets are required and can be obtained at any TD Bank on Long Island.
