Two new animated shows debut on Nickelodeon in February. “Wallykazam!” airs at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3, and “Breadwinners” launches at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17.

“Wallykazam!” invites preschoolers to discover words. It features a troll named Wally and his pet dragon, Norville, who live in a forest with giants, goblins and ogres. Wally uses a magic stick to focus on words that start with a specific letter, sound or rhyme. Episodes introduce skills such as letter and sound identification, rhyming and vocabulary development.

In the premiere, “Naptime for Borgelorp,” Wally babysits Ogre Doug’s hyper and unpredictable pet Borgelorp. Ogre Doug gives Wally two instructions: get Borgelorp to nap and make sure he doesn't eat any purple flowers. The words introduced in the episode start with the letter “s” and include somersault, soar, sandwich and symphony. The series will air weekdays at 1:00 p.m

“Breadwinners” is a buddy comedy aimed at kids 6 to 11. It follows two ducks who operate a bread delivery service out of their jet-fueled Rocket Van. The housemates, SwaySway and Buhdeuce, get into what Nickelodeon dubs “riduckulous” adventures.

In the premiere episode, “Thug Loaf,” SwaySway and Buhdeuce have to deliver bread to the bad part of Duck Town. They accidentally lock their keys in the Rocket Van and have to befriend a gang of Biker Ducks for help. After its debut on Feb. 17, it will air in its regular time slot of 11 a.m. Saturdays.
