Survey: 32 percent of moms haven't had sex in years
Haven’t had sex lately? You’re not alone: Thirty two percent of moms report going at least a few years without making love, according to a Family Circle survey.
That's not the only thing moms confessed. The majority of mothers polled (56 percent) say they drink too much too often and nearly one in five (18 percent) report they drink to excess about once a month to "let their hair down." Although according to the USDA guidelines, women shouldn't have more than one glass of alcohol per day, 29 percent of women in the U.S. who indulged in the past year had more than four or five drinks on a single occasion.
The survey also found moms aren't working out enough. The majority (58 percent) exercise once a month or not at all and only 15 percent exercise at least once a week. But that doesn't mean moms don't care about losing weight. One in four would take extreme measures to drop pounds if money were no object rather than dieting and exercising. Twenty percent said they'd have weight-loss surgery, 14 percent would pop an experimental pill to lose weight and 11 percent would try an extreme diet.
The survey polled 553 mothers with at least one child of any age. The published results will be in the March 2014 issue of Family Circle and on familycircle.com/momconfessions.
