Oscar poll: Vote for your favorite animated film of 2012
It's award season, and if you're like me, you may not have had the time to see any of the movies up for best picture. With a little one at home, it's not easy finding time to get to the movies, let alone finding a babysitter. But if you have children, I'd be willing to bet you've caught at least one of the films up for best animated feature.
My daughter is still too young to sit through a movie in a theater, so we'll be buying the animated DVDs when available for movie nights at home.
Here's a rundown of the five animated movies that received an Oscar nod, and you can vote on for your favorite below.
"Brave."This film follows Disney's Princess Merida, who must rely on her bravery to undo a terrible curse against her people in Scotland. Rated: PG
"Frankenweenie." A Tim Burton film about young Victor Frankenstein, a science wiz who tries to reanimate his beloved dog Sparky, who died in an accident. Rated: PG
"ParaNorman." To save his town from a terrible curse, a young boy must take on zombies, ghosts and grown-ups. Rated: PG
"The Pirates! Band of Misfits." The determined Pirate Captain, along with his band of buccaneers, tries to capture the prestigious Pirate of the Year award. Rated: PG
"Wreck-It Ralph." Follow one man's adventure through video games to prove he's a hero. Rated: PG
