'My First Movies' for babies and toddlers on Long Island
Many parents have differing opinions about the best age to bring a young child to a movie theater. So if you're on the fence with your little one, you may want to check out the "My First Movies" events from BabyFirsttv.com.
These movie play dates are meant for babies, toddlers and their parents to experience the big screen in an age-appropriate, fun way. Each "My First Movies" event keeps the theater's lights on so children can dance, sing and enjoy the educational films.
Some of the movies include "Harry the Bunny," "Tillie Knock-Knock," "Peekaboo," "VocabuLARRY" and "Rainbow Horse." At the end of the movie showcase, families will receive a goody bag and meet BabyFirst's Mitten the Kitten.
The "My First Movies" events kick off on Saturday, Feb. 15 and will continue on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. Ticket prices are $10.50 for adults, $8.50 for children.
Two Long Island movie theaters are hosting the events:
Broadway Mall Multiplex Cinemas (955 N. Broadway, Hicksville)
Island 16 Cinema de Lux (185 Morris Ave., Holtsville)
