If you travel into any town on Long Island, you're bound to stumble upon a playground for kids. There are so many that feature swings and slides, seesaws and jungle gyms, even sections with sprinklers -- guaranteed fun for kids and adults alike.

Over the past few months, we've taken Maggie to a few different playgrounds and hands down, our favorite is at the Rockville Centre Recreation Center. It's on the smaller side and surrounded by trees so it offers much-needed shade on warm summer days. They have two sets of baby swings, so there's never a wait to use one. Plus, they have slides of varying heights, perfect for kids of all ages.

It's hard to label certain playgrounds as "the best," so I reached out to our Facebook and Twitter fans and asked them to name their favorite playgrounds on Long Island -- Bay Park in East Rockaway, Peppermint Park in Medford and Crab Meadow to name a few. We then turned their picks into an easy-to-use map for you to navigate. Click on the icons to find the names of LIers favorite playgrounds and share your favorites below!
