Little pirates have a new way to learn — and have fun, too — with Jake’s Never Land Shapes and Patterns; a new app from Disney.

Based on the popular cartoon "Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” the game takes kids to Pirate Island where there’s an educational adventure to be had. Users must help Jake and his pirate pals find a secret treasure before the sneaky Captain Hook gets to it first.

Along the way, kids complete digital puzzles that help them learn patterns and shapes. Activities include dragging and dropping matching shapes at Circle Rock and tracing patterns created by sparkling fireflies.

The app is approved for kids 4 and older and is perfect for little learners everywhere. It’s also a great alternative to mindless gaming.

Jake’s Never Land Shapes and Patterns is available now in the app store.
