Everyone's favorite big, red dog, Clifford, is celebrating his 50th birthday today and there are many ways to get in on all the festivities.

A live classroom webcast
At 10 a.m., Clifford's Biggest Birthday Party Ever, a live celebration at Scholastic's Manhattan headquarters and webcast to classrooms, will take place nationwide. Hundreds of children will sing "Happy Birthday" to Clifford and get to participate in some fun, including skill-building games.

New book releases
Pick up a copy of "Clifford Collection," by Norman Bridwell, a collection of six classic stories originally published between 1963 and 1977. Included is a never-before-seen 1962 painting that inspired the Clifford series. Next spring, "Clifford's Birthday Party" and "Clifford's Bedtime Story" will also be released.

New apps
Check out Clifford's Big Birthday app for iPhone and Android ($.99), where Emily Elizabeth, Clifford's best friend, invites players to help her create a surprise party for his birthday. The app also features interactive games and more.

Create a birthday card
Send Clifford a personalized birthday card at scholastic.com/clifford. You can choose party friends and decorations for birthday hats while adults can create their own "Big Red Ears" personalized photos and share them via social media platforms.
