Half-price admission to Long Island Aquarium in January
Treat the kids to fun, under-the-sea adventures after school at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center (431 E. Main St., Riverhead). And now through Jan. 31, there's a special offer.
Here's the deal: Kids and adults can receive half-price admission Mondays through Fridays after 2:30 p.m. Admission for the aquarium and exhibition center would be $16.25 for adults (regular admission is $32.50) and $13.75 for kids (regular admission is $27.50). Check out the numerous touch tanks, sea lion shows, shark tanks and more than 100 other aquatic exhibits. You can also head to the "ray bay," where the stingrays swim up to the edge of the pool for petting and feeding.
The discounted admission is to both the Aquarium and to the Butterflies & Birds exhibit. Be sure to mention the half-price discount at time of purchase, which is not available online. The offer is not valid on weekends or holidays, including Monday, Jan. 20.
